Imagine being given the opportunity to design a product of your own choosing— the catch is that you only have 24 hours to do create it.

On Oct. 12 and 13 six students computer science students traveled to Hackupstate at the Syracuse Technology Garden. Hackupstate is a 24 hour programing competition and the goal is to create the best prototype possible.

The event is sponsored by SUNY Oswego and Syracuse University. Students from nine other colleges, including SUNY Fredonia, participated in the event.

The six students, Robert Szkutak, Nicholas Freville, Jason Guy, Jeffrey Swift and Aaron Chan, created a browser based zombie game in 24 hours.
